About the Route
Jinan Metro is an urban rail transit system serving Jinan City, Shandong Province, China, and its first line, Jinan Rail Transit Line 1, was officially put into commercial operation on April 1, 2019, making Jinan the second city in Shandong Province to open and operate a subway.
As of October 2023, Jinan Rail Transit has a total of 3 operating lines, which are the first phase of Jinan Rail Transit Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3, with a total operating mileage of 84.1 kilometers, ranking 26th in the country, with a total of 43 stations.
As of October 2023, Jinan Rail Transit has a total of 7 lines under construction, including Jinan Rail Transit Line 3 Phase II, Line 4 Phase I, Line 6, Line 7 Phase I, Line 8 Phase I, Line 9 Phase I, and Tram Line 1, with a total length of 203 kilometers under construction.
